Job summary

RETS Associates represents Claremont McKenna College in recruiting an Associate Vice President for Construction Management & Capital Projects to lead a major campus transformation in Southern California. Reporting to the EVP/COO, you will own the full lifecycle of capital projects, direct the CM & Capital Projects team, manage budgets, schedules and permitting, and present updates to the Board of Trustees.

A bachelor's in a related field and 10+ years' experience are preferred, with higher

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive, hands-on experience leading large-scale construction or capital programs.
• Higher education or similar experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong communicator who can engage credibly at every level, from contractors to trustees.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage the Construction Management & Capital Projects team day-to-day.
• Drive all phases of capital projects from early planning and design through construction and final occupancy.
• Get into the details on project budgets, contracts, schedules, and contractor relationships.
• Prepare materials, reports, and presentations for the Board of Trustees.
• Personally coordinate with city, county, and regional agencies on permitting and development agreements.
