Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. seeks a Veterinarian to join the Vetco Total Care full-service hospital network. You will deliver medical care, perform anesthesia, surgeries, and collaborate with a skilled team to uphold high standards of veterinary service.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited school.
• Active veterinary license in the state where the hospital is located.
• Current DEA license; active or obtainable by start date.
• Current USDA accreditation or plan to obtain within two months.
• Comfort performing anesthesia and routine surgeries including dentals and spays/neuters.
• Strong written and verbal communication; compassionate, team-oriented, and able to handle emotional situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care by performing physical examinations, diagnosing diseases, and providing preventive care.
• Develop treatment plans and perform problem-based differential diagnoses and appropriate treatments.
• Document patient observations, exam findings, diagnostics, treatments, and diagnoses in the medical record.
• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures including spays/neuters and mass removals.
• Perform routine and complex dental procedures and dental radiographs as needed.
• Develop day hospitalization plans and coordinate with referral hospitals for continuity of care.
