Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from AVMA-accredited school.
• Active veterinary license without contingencies in the start state.
• Current DEA license and applicable Controlled Substances license.
• USDA accreditation (minimum) required or able to obtain within two months.
• Comfort with anesthesia and routine surgeries (canine and feline).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and professional demeanor under stressful situations.
• Team player willing to learn and adapt to new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care through exams, diagnosing diseases, and preventive care.
• Develop complete differential diagnoses and diagnostic plans.
• Document all patient observations and treatments in medical records.
• Perform spays/neuters, abdominal explorations, and mass removals.
• Perform dental procedures including exams, radiographs, extractions.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate day hospitalization and referrals.
