Job summary

Petco Total Rewards Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our Vetco Total Care full-service hospital team. You will lead patient care, perform exams, surgeries, and dental procedures, and collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited school.
• Active licensure in the state where the hospital is located.
• Current DEA license to handle controlled substances.
• Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable.
• USDA Category I Accreditation or higher as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary patient care including exams, diagnoses, and preventive care.
• Perform routine and complex surgical and dental procedures.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate with referral hospitals as needed.
• Document patient records accurately and maintain clear client communication.
• Participate in rounds and disseminate knowledge to staff.
• Support a collaborative hospital environment and patient well-being.
