Job description

Introduction

Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian. The practice is a cats-only hospital that has focused exclusively on feline medicine for more than 40 years, delivering high-quality, low-stress veterinary care in a purpose-built feline environment. This role offers the opportunity to practice advanced feline medicine within a highly specialized and supportive team. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with dedicated mentorship available.

Working Hours / Rota

The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 7:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The role is offered on a full-time basis. No after-hours or on-call requirements are required.

Role Description and Responsibilities

The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive feline-only veterinary care across a varied caseload. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry with dental radiography, anesthesia, general and routine surgery including spays and neuters, pain management, geriatric medicine, hospitalization care, and euthanasia services. The role also involves performing diagnostic workups, issuing health certificates, and collaborating closely with the clinical team to deliver high standards of feline-focused care. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details

The hospital features three exam rooms and a full dental suite with the ability to perform two dental procedures simultaneously. Diagnostic and treatment capabilities include digital radiography, digital dental radiography, tonometry, and Midmark Cardell 9500 HD vital signs monitors in both the dental suite and surgical areas. Hands-free radiology is currently implemented at approximately 80 percent. Facilities include an in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, an in-office surgical suite, isolation ward, and hospitalization areas. Services span primary care, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, preventive medicine, wellness testing, and advanced diagnostic imaging. The practice is AAHA accredited and recognized as a Cat Friendly Practice, reflecting a strong commitment to feline welfare and stress-free veterinary care.

Team

The team consists of two DVMs supported by a great and experienced support team. The environment is collaborative, mentoring-focused, and centered around feline medicine, with a strong emphasis on education, teamwork, and delivering exceptional care to cats and their owners.

Candidate Requirements
  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
