Our client is a privately owned, full-service small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their expanding and highly reputable medical team. They provide care for dogs, cats, and a select number of pocket pets, and they are open to welcoming a veterinarian with other species interests. With five full-time DVMs, the practice is preparing to add a new doctor to support continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected, community-focused hospital with strong values, a modern facility, and a commitment to fear-free, patient-centered care.
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with Sundays closed. A full-time schedule typically includes four days per week with one Saturday morning every month. Part-time scheduling is available for candidates, provided the schedule remains consistent. There are no after-hours requirements, allowing for a stable work-life balance.
This role offers the ability to shape your working day based on your clinical strengths and preferences, with flexibility in scheduling sick-pet slots, wellness appointments, and surgical caseloads. Veterinarians who enjoy surgery can have more than one dedicated surgery day each week. The hospital provides 30-minute appointments for all routine visits and can offer longer appointment times for specific appointments such as sedated procedures or acupuncture. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, acupuncture, diagnostics, pain management, and laser therapy. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Experienced doctors interested in leadership or future ownership opportunities may take on expanded responsibilities at the second hospital. New graduates will benefit from a structured mentorship program beginning with paired training alongside a senior doctor and progressing to their own caseload under guided development.
This hospital recently expanded into a brand-new, exceptionally large facility featuring 11 exam rooms, including a dedicated comfort room, designed to support a stress-free environment for patients. The hospital is AAHA accredited, and all staff are Fear Free Certified, with certification required for all new team members. The facility includes a large surgical suite, two independent dental suites, full-body digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, and an extensive in-house diagnostic laboratory. Endoscopy is not currently available but is planned for future expansion. The building was intentionally designed with growth in mind, leaving ample space to add new services as the medical team continues to expand.
The practice is home to 5 full-time DVMs, supported by a strong 5:1 support staff ratio and a growing team of highly skilled technicians and assistants. The culture is collaborative, mentorship-driven, and deeply supportive of continued education and professional growth.
