Job description

Associate, Venue Infrastructure Delivery

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Venue Infrastructure Delivery, this hourly non‑exempt role supports the planning and coordination of venue design subfunctions for a group of venues. The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills and an organized and efficient work product.

Venue Planning & Development
  • Collaborate with internal functional areas (FAs) to support the development of venue design
  • Support the maintenance of project plans for venue design and infrastructure development to align with overall Games timelines
Operational Coordination
  • Support the integration of cross‑functional requirements (e.g., ticketing, hospitality, security, sport) into venue design processes
  • Assist in preparing materials and coordinating venue‑specific workshops with internal and external stakeholders
  • Track action items, deliverables, and follow‑ups to support timely project execution
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with key FAs, including Event Management, Operational Departments, and Sport, to ensure cohesive planning and delivery of venue infrastructure
  • Support problem‑solving efforts related to venue planning and execution
  • Manage functional area requests and outputs across the Venue Development team
  • Support reporting processes, including preparation of presentations, updates, and documentation for leadership and stakeholders
Background & Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Sports Management, Construction Management, Event Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Familiarity with sports and major event planning preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information effectively
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Expectations
  • Demonstrated commitment to co‑creation and collaborative decision‑making
  • Ability to travel to venues and work on‑site as needed
  • General support to the Venue Development team
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • The position is in Los Angeles with in‑person attendance required
  • Support LA28 operational activity during lead‑up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games
  • The LA28 office is an open‑plan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment
  • The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment
  • Willingness to work extended hours during critical build milestones and Games‑time preparations
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and event days
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work on‑site for extended periods

The hourly range for this position is $30.29 - $40.00.
