Job summary

Antares Capital LP, based in New York, seeks an Associate, Valuations to join its Private Credit team. The role focuses on developing financial models and conducting valuations across debt and equity investments, delivering insights to support investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business.
• 3-5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with valuation techniques: DCF, comparables, and precedent transactions.
• Strong data analysis, conclusions, and solution recommendations.
• Experience building financial models from scratch.
• Excellent project management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• CFA or CPA preferred.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; willingness to work from the New York office and travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Propose valuation best practices to internal and external valuation reviews.
• Support the development and implementation of new valuation models and data repositories.
• Collaborate across functions including Capital Markets, Credit, Deal Originations, Marketing, and Asset Management teams.

At least 2 years of direct experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transactions, within a valuation, investment banking, commercial banking, or financial research firm. Strong ability to analyze and evaluate data, formulate accurate conclusions, and clearly recommend solutions. Demonstrated knowledge of financial modeling including experience building models from scratch. Excellent project management, communication, and teamwork skills. Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Finance or accounting designation such as CFA, CPA preferred.Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States and be willing to work from the New York office and travel as necessary.
