Qualifications

• Commercial Lines underwriting or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Strong computer aptitude with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work independently with little supervision, but also able to work collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive working relationships with agents through various modes of communication: telephone, email, faxes, and in-person.
• Assist agents with quoting and approving new accounts.
• Process cancellations, endorsements, and renewals while adhering to company policy and state regulations.
• Gather necessary information from agents and insureds (e.g. loss runs, loss control recommendations, supplemental information, etc.).
• Make entries as required, properly and promptly in underwriting systems to ensure data accuracy.
