Job summary

DUAL North America is hiring an Associate Underwriter for the E&S Homeowners Personal Lines. Located in San Diego, CA, this role supports underwriters with account triage, quoting, binding, and daily workflows while building broker relationships.

You will learn market dynamics and contribute to premium goals within an expanding E&S team. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, or business and 0–3 years underwriting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business or related field preferred.
• 0–3 years underwriting or insurance experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong business understanding.

Responsibilities

• Process submissions by providing account triage for Underwriters.
• Provide backup support for Underwriters during travel.
• Gather and compile information required to quote and/or bind an account.
• Generate and send correspondence such as declination letters, quote follow ups and reminders.
• Support underwriting life cycle with strong customer service and daily workflows.
