Job summary

DUAL North America, a leading US underwriter, seeks an Associate Underwriter for E&S Homeowners Personal Lines in San Diego. You will support underwriting life cycle, assist with account quoting and binding, and help grow broker relationships while maintaining high service quality.

The role offers growth toward underwriting authority, exposure to market dynamics, and collaboration within a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business or related field.
• Proficiency in underwriting principles and risk analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process submissions by providing account triage for Underwriters.
• Provide backup support for Underwriters when traveling in the market.
• Assist with policy transactions and daily workflows within the E&S Homeowners team.
• Generate and edit correspondence such as declination letters and follow-ups.
• Learn market dynamics and product differences through weekly underwriting meetings.
