Job summary

Amwins, a leading insurance broker, is hiring an Associate Underwriter for its Los Angeles, CA office. This full-time, in-office role offers potential for a hybrid schedule after training. Compensation includes a salary commensurate with experience, with annual bonus potential and a broad benefits package.

We seek individuals with eagerness to learn, strong interpersonal skills, a customer-service mindset, and solid attention to detail. Insurance experience is not required but helpful.

Qualifications

• Eagerness to learn and grow as a team.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer service mentality.
• Strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills including typing proficiency, Microsoft Office proficiency with an emphasis in Excel spreadsheet.
• Prior insurance experience is not required, but is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Review submission information required to issue new or renewal quotes.
• Rate and prepare new or renewal quotes as directed by Underwriter.
• Review and handle inspection recommendations and discrepancies.
• Monitor various reports for consistency.
• Potential for policy issuance and endorsement processing, including audits.
• Assist in accounting procedures such as invoicing.
• Data entry into multiple internet-based systems.

California Pay Range: $70,304 USD - $70,304 USD
