Job summary

Amwins is hiring an Associate Underwriter in Jericho, NY. This full-time, hybrid role requires three days in the Jericho office per week and an active Property & Casualty license.

Responsibilities

• Review inspection recommendations and discrepancies.
• Monitor reports for consistency.
• Assist with policy issuance and endorsements.
• Support accounting tasks such as invoicing.
• Enter data into multiple internet-based systems.

This is a full time, hybrid position with 3 days per week in office required in our Jericho, NY office.

Each Associate Underwriter provides vital team functions:

• Review submission information required to issue new or renewal quotes
• Rating and preparation of new or renewal quotes as directed by Underwriter
• Review and handling of inspection recommendations and discrepancies
• Monitor various reports for consistency
• Potential for policy issuance and endorsement processing, including audits
• Assist in accounting procedures such as invoicing
• Data entry into multiple internet-based systems

We are looking for people with:

• 1 year of prior insurance experience
