Associate Underwriter – Amwins Access, Woodland Hills, CA
This is a full-time, in‑office position located in the Woodland Hills, CA office with potential for a hybrid schedule once training is complete.
Qualifications
- 1 year of prior insurance experience and/or a related degree from an accredited four‑year university
- Property & Casualty License, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days (cost reimbursed; study support provided by Amwins)
- Team‑oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high‑quality work
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, handle pressure, and thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume work environment
- Strong communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail, organization, professionalism, and a customer‑service focus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets
Responsibilities
- Review submission information required to issue new or renewal quotes.
- Rate and prepare new or renewal quotes as directed by the Underwriter.
- Review and handle inspection recommendations and discrepancies.
- Monitor various reports for consistency.
- Potential for policy issuance and endorsement processing, including audits.
- Assist in accounting procedures such as invoicing.
- Data entry into multiple internet‑based systems.

Compensation
Pursuant to California regulation, the compensation range for this position is $70,304 USD – $70,304 USD and includes eligibility for performance‑based bonuses.
