Job summary

Great West Casualty Company in Sioux City, IA, is seeking a Small Business Underwriter to build a profitable book in commercial trucking. The role offers an optional hybrid schedule (three days in the office, two days remote).

You will underwrite, price, and endorse risk while developing strong relationships with agents and insureds, with autonomy in a fast-paced environment and access to mentoring and training opportunities.

• Participate in a training program that includes one‑on‑one mentoring, classroom instruction, and self‑study.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in sales, a position building relationships, or experience in insurance is desirable, but not required.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to analyze risk.
• The ability to identify customer needs and market Great West products and services to them.
