Job summary

Great West, An Old Republic Company is seeking a Business Development Executive in Bloomington, IN to build and sustain regional agency relationships, create business plans, and drive forecasted goals. The role relies on targeted marketing to expand agency business, develop current agencies, and maintain the company’s digital presence in the market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
• Knowledge of insurance industry or exposure to trucking desirable.
• Minimum 4 years in insurance marketing, agency producer, sales, underwriting, or claims.
• Strong communication, time management, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Desire for ongoing professional development: AU, CPCU, CIC, CISR, CRM, STAR.

Responsibilities

• Manage agency relationships and act as a resource and trainer for agency personnel regarding Great West's products, services, and procedures.
• Assist agencies with production goal setting and review progress quarterly with business partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with associations and groups while promoting Great West.
• Conduct market share analyses, projections, and identify new agency partnerships.
• Facilitate communication flow between agents, underwriters, and other departments.
• Coordinate regional agent meetings, agent councils, and educational seminars with corporate marketing.

As a Business Development Executive, you will develop and sustain strong relationships with our regional agencies to create business plans and ensure that forecasted goals are met or exceeded. A successful candidate in this position will use targeted marketing efforts to increase new agency business, develop current agencies, and maintain Great West's digital presence in the market.

LOCATION

This position is located out of our Bloomington, IN office and will require up to 75% travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage agency relationships and act as a resource and trainer for agency personnel regarding Great West's products, services, and procedures.
• Assist agencies with production goal setting and review progress on a quarterly basis with business partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with outside associations and groups while providing valuable information about Great West.
• Conduct market share analyses, projections, and identify new possibilities for agency partnerships.
• Facilitate communication flow between agents, underwriters, and other departments.
• Partner with corporate marketing department to coordinate regional agent meetings, agent councils, and educational seminars.

We are looking for candidates who have

• A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
• Knowledge of insurance and preferably some exposure to the trucking industry.
• Minimum of 4 years in insurance marketing, agency producer, sales, underwriting, or claims position.
• Strong communication, time management, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• A drive for continual development of product knowledge and insurance educational programs: AU, CPCU, CIC, CISR, CRM, STAR
