Exponent is seeking a Thermal Sciences Associate - Mechanical Engineer for its Thermal Sciences Practice in Warrenville, IL. You will join a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, chemical, and fire protection engineers investigating technical problems.

The role requires a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (or related field), strong thermodynamics/heat transfer/fluids background, and experience with experimental design and data analysis. US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Presently legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, kinetics, and related thermal/fluid topics.
• Experience in experimental design, instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities
