Job summary

ALTER TECHNOLOGY US seeks an Associate Test Engineer to shape test plans and automate semiconductor testing. You will develop tests on ATE, analyze data, and work with design, process, and product teams to improve reliability and efficiency.

You will handle test software development with Python/C++, maintain test setups, and ensure quality across engineering stages. Strong communication and analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Internship or minimum of 1 year in semiconductor testing or similar.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, ATE).
  • Experience with test software development and scripting (Python, C/C++).
  • CAD system schematic and layout knowledge (routing).
  • Familiarity with prober, handler and ATE equipment.
  • Strong analytical and collaborative skills.

Position Summary

The Associate Test Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of semiconductor products. This position involves developing and executing test plans, creating electrical test solutions on Automated Test Equipment (ATE), analyzing test data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product reliability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a background in semiconductor testing, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain test plans, procedures, and test cases for semiconductor devices.
  • Design and optimize automated test setups and test scripts to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of test data to identify trends, root causes of failures, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with industry-standard equipment such as Prober, handler, and ATE (Automatic Test Equipment).
