Job summary

ALTER TECHNOLOGY US seeks an Associate Test Engineer to shape test plans and automate semiconductor testing. You will develop tests on ATE, analyze data, and work with design, process, and product teams to improve reliability and efficiency.

You will handle test software development with Python/C++, maintain test setups, and ensure quality across engineering stages. Strong communication and analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Internship or minimum of 1 year in semiconductor testing or similar.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, ATE).
• Experience with test software development and scripting (Python, C/C++).
• CAD system schematic and layout knowledge (routing).
• Familiarity with prober, handler and ATE equipment.
• Strong analytical and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain test plans and test cases for semiconductor devices.
• Design and optimize automated test setups and test scripts.
• Analyze test data to identify trends and failure root causes.
• Collaborate with design, process, and product engineering to define test requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality guidelines.
• Provide technical support for production testing and troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare comprehensive test reports for stakeholders.
• Stay updated with advancements in semiconductor testing methodologies.
