CAE USA Inc. is seeking an Associate Technical Writer to transform complex engineering concepts into clear, accurate documentation for world-class training systems.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, authors, and QA to refine content, ensure consistency, and publish materials that meet strict standards for clarity and visual effectiveness. You’ll gain hands-on experience editing, developing documentation, and using industry-standard publishing tools to prepare content for release, aiding pilots

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and page‑layout skills with sharp attention to detail.
• Solid computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Office; experience with publishing or multimedia tools is a plus.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access; U.S. citizenship required.
• Willingness to support occasional overtime, shift work, weekend work, and CONUS travel.
• Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proofread clear, accurate technical documentation.
• Translate complex technical concepts into easy‑to‑understand text and visuals.
• Apply DoD and industry style standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Use publishing tools (Microsoft Office, Acrobat, FrameMaker, Photoshop, Quicksilver) to create and update materials.
• Organize content, manage document structures, and support configuration‑management workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers, authors, and QA to verify accuracy and meet deadlines.
