Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Our client, a women's apparel brand, is seeking an Associate Technical Designer - Denim, to join their growing team in NYC!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing fit strategies for each season, ensuring consistency across denim styles.
  • Collaborate with overseas technical teams, attend virtual fittings, provide technical recommendations, and finalize grading.
  • Participate in fit sessions, working closely with Design to align technical execution with creative vision.
  • Create and maintain tech packs, tracking fit progression from development through production.
  • Evaluate fit samples, providing detailed fit comments and recommendations.
  • Work with Design and Production teams to execute cost-engineered styles that meet quality and budget requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in technical design with patternmaking knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Apparel, Technical Design, Patternmaking, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flex PLM.
  • Experience with CLO3D is highly preferred but not required.
  • Denim experience is strongly preferred; knowledge of wovens and cut-and-sew knits is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in working with overseas teams.
  • Highly organized, accountable, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to make pattern corrections, grade, mark, construct, and fit garments.
  • Experience in special sizes is a plus.

$65,000-$85,000 commensurate of experience.

Full time in office.
