Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Associate Technical Designer to manage fit and construction for a single category of vertical brand products (about 30-40 items per season). You will run fittings, produce initial specs, adjust patterns, and collaborate with Product Management and Designers to ensure quality, aesthetic, and alignment with margins and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in apparel, textiles, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience in athletic apparel, sportswear, or outdoor apparel preferred.
• PLM system experience required.
• Working knowledge of Optitex.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate fit session to document technical adjustments and translate to a technical package.
• Develop block pattern and technical specifications by brand/classification.
• Track and organize garments from proto to production approval and manage fit matrices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product Management, Sourcing and Merchandising to align on brand intent.
• Communicate with overseas vendors for tech packs and sample development; advise on specs and construction.
