Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Associate Technical Designer to manage fit and construction for a category of garments, delivering products that meet brand standards and athlete expectations. You will run fittings, create specs, and collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to translate vision into technical packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in apparel, textiles, or equivalent industry experience.
• 3-5 years experience working with athletic apparel, sportswear, or outdoor apparel.
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system experience required.
• Working knowledge of Optitex.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Thorough knowledge of garment fit, balance, grading, and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate fit sessions to document technical adjustments reflecting design comments and improve fit.
• Develop block patterns and technical specifications for brand/classification.
• Track and organize garments and information to support timely fit sessions and production approvals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product Management, Sourcing, and Merchandising.
• Coordinate with overseas vendors on tech packs and samples to improve fit and quality.
• Maintain time and action calendars and escalate deadlines when needed.
