Job summary

Hybrid Apparel is seeking an Associate Technical Designer to support the Tech Design team in developing apparel products, ensuring high-quality construction, fit, and garment performance. You will work with the Tech Designer, Design, Merchandising, and Production to refine technical design skills.

The role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy in tech packs, and timely sample development in a fast-paced apparel environment.

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in technical design or a related role within the apparel industry is preferred.
Experience with garment construction, patternmaking, and fitting processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist with the creation of detailed technical specifications (tech packs), including measurements, construction details, fabrics, trims, and stitching instructions.
Support fit evaluations, including taking fit comments, documenting corrections, and communicating changes to factories or suppliers.
Prepare sample requests, track development timelines, and ensure samples meet design and quality standards.
Assess garment construction and offer technical suggestions to improve design and functionality.
Coordinate with factories and vendors to communicate technical adjustments and maintain quality during sampling.
Maintain and update the tech pack database with accurate details.
