Granite YMCA in Manchester, NH is seeking an Associate Teacher to join our Early Learning team. The role supports high-quality programs, assists curriculum implementation, and creates a safe, engaging environment for young children.

You will work with Lead Teachers to guide daily operations, mentor assistants, and assume leadership in classroom activities. This is a great fit for someone passionate about early childhood education and growth within the YMCA.

Qualifications

• Must meet NH licensing requirements for Associate Teacher.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Positive, patient, and nurturing approach to early childhood education.

Responsabilités

• Support the classroom in alignment with YMCA standards and NH State Licensing requirements.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
• Build positive relationships with children and families; maintain confidentiality.
• Lead classroom activities, including curriculum implementation, snack/meals, and setup/cleanup.
• Guide and mentor Assistant Teachers to ensure a cohesive classroom experience.
• Monitor attendance, headcounts, and behavior; act as classroom lead in the absence of Lead Teacher.
• Model and promote YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies following YMCA procedures.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers and Program Director on classroom operations and program quality.
• Contribute to a positive, flexible, team-oriented culture.

The Granite YMCA is seeking Associate Teachers to join our Early Learning team! This is an exciting opportunity to support high-quality early childhood programs, assist in curriculum implementation, and help create a safe, engaging environment for young children.
