Job summary

Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas seeks an Associate, Systems Engineering to help build and manage the firm’s computer and data infrastructure. You will work across datacenter design, networks, storage, grid compute, OS and databases, and contribute to scalable cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities include identifying issues, documenting resolutions, monitoring health and risk, and aiding business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IS/IT with relevant experience.
• Experience with performance tuning, debugging, log analysis and SDLC.
• UNIX, Shell scripting, Python; database design with DB2 or Sybase ASE.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise across engineering domains including datacenter design, networks, storage and software languages.
• Contribute to designing and developing firm infrastructure using public and private cloud solutions.
• Identify, analyze and resolve application issues; document repetitive resolutions.
• Monitor application health, support service performance and review production incidents.
