Job summary

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. in Dallas, Texas seeks an Associate, Systems Engineering to develop expertise across datacenter design, networks, storage, grid compute, operating systems, databases, and languages.

You will help design and deploy scalable infrastructure, identify internal hardware needs, and implement public/private cloud solutions for on-demand growth. You will also help create automated testing processes, monitor application health, and apply data mining and machine learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IS or related field.
• Two years of experience in performance tuning, debugging, or log analysis.
• Experience across the full SDLC including requirements, design, coding, testing, release and support.
• Experience with cloud systems, tuning performance, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with Windows and UNIX environments and IaC deployments.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise across engineering areas: datacenter design, networks, storage, grid compute, operating systems, databases, and languages.
• Contribute to design and development of firm infrastructure with cloud-based solutions for on-demand scalability.
• Assist in automated testing processes, standards, tools, and monitoring of application health.
• Apply data mining and machine learning to identify and react to infrastructure issues.
• Document recurring errors, monitor risk, and support change management and disaster recovery planning.
