Job summary

Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, TX seeks an Associate, Systems Engineering to develop and manage firm infrastructure across datacenter design, networks, storage, grid compute, and databases. You will implement cloud-based scaling, automate testing, and apply ML to detect and respond to issues.

Responsibilities include monitoring incident responses, optimizing performance, and supporting disaster recovery and business continuity planning through automation and data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related fields such as Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
• Two years of experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting application issues using code debugging or log analysis.
• Experience with software development across Windows and UNIX operating systems, including shell scripting.
• Experience monitoring cloud systems, tuning performance, and diagnosing issues via query plans and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with Windows platforms management tools and public cloud IaC deployments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage firm infrastructure across datacenter design, networks, storage, compute, OS, databases, and software languages.
• Identify and implement public and private cloud solutions for on-demand scaling.
• Create automated tests, standards, and tools to ensure operational reliability.
• Apply data mining and ML techniques to detect and respond to infrastructure issues.
• Document recurring error resolutions to reduce incidents and improve stability and performance.
• Monitor production incidents and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
