Job summary

Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City is seeking an Associate, Systems Engineering to develop and support core engineering software across storage, OS, databases, and messaging. You will help design the Listed Clearing software and data infrastructure, identify issues with data analysis and AI-assisted methods, and implement on-demand cloud scaling for firm applications.

You will collaborate across teams to monitor performance, optimize bottlenecks, and enforce change management for reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/CE/IS/Tech or related field as stated.
• Experience with SQL performance tuning and log analysis.
• Proficiency in Java and UNIX-based development environments.
• Experience with DB2, Sybase ASE, MQ or EMS messaging stacks.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Github, and disaster recovery testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support engineering software across storage, OS, databases and messaging.
• Contribute to Listed Clearing software and data infrastructure with cloud-based solutions.
• Apply data interrogation and ML techniques to identify infra issues.
• Build observability and monitoring to track application health and performance.
• Plan disaster recovery capabilities and ensure business continuity.
