Job summary
Custom Computer Specialists in Hauppauge, NY, seeks an Associate Systems Engineer to support enterprise IT infrastructure, including networks, security, and cloud tech. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot systems under engineer guidance while gaining hands-on experience.
This role offers training, mentorship, and growth opportunities in IT infrastructure. Travel across NYC boroughs and HQ on Long Island is required; schedule 12:00 PM–8:00 PM with occasional shifts during busy periods.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in IT support, networking, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering.
- Microsoft or CompTIA certifications (Network+, Security+).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, routing, and wireless tech.
- Familiarity with Cisco networking and Cisco Meraki solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco and Cisco Meraki network infrastructure.
- Provide Tier I/II support for infrastructure, networking, and endpoint issues.
- Perform monitoring and documentation of network diagrams and inventories.
- Travel across NYC boroughs and Long Island to support projects and deployments.
