Job summary

Intramotev is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer in St. Louis, MO to support autonomous rail vehicle development. You will handle requirements, interfaces, and system integration across mechanical, electrical, software, and controls teams. Travel for testing and customer interactions is occasional.

You will contribute to verification, validation, and regulatory activities, with a strong emphasis on MBSE artifacts and cross-discipline collaboration during the full systems development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a physical science.
• 0–2 years of experience with integrated hardware/software systems.
• Exposure to the systems engineering lifecycle across disciplines.
• Ability to write clear, testable requirements and trace to tests.
• Comfortable working across mechanical, electrical, software, and controls.
• Hands-on aptitude for on-vehicle integration and testing.
• Willingness to learn new systems beyond current area.
• Fluent English written and spoken; U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Capture needs and decompose into testable requirements across subsystems.
• Support interface definition and maintain interface documentation.
• Participate in subsystem integration on real vehicles and troubleshoot issues.
• Execute test plans, collect evidence, and support validation activities.
• Maintain system architecture artifacts and MBSE/SysML models under guidance.
