Job summary

AHEAD is seeking an Associate Technical Consultant to join the Storage Delivery Practice and support enterprise data center infrastructure deployments. The role focuses on translating business requirements into practical storage solutions, with limited travel for deployment projects.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accountable, and collaborative, with hands-on storage and server experience and a willingness to learn from senior team members.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure delivery in consulting, professional services, or complex customer environments.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues across systems, hosts, switches, and related infrastructure.
• Strong written, verbal, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in client-facing delivery environments.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with automation and orchestration concepts, with experience using one or more tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Install data center hardware, including racking, stacking, and cabling, to support enterprise requirements.
• Apply basic configurations to physical infrastructure, including PowerMax, PowerFlex, PowerEdge servers, Cisco switches, Pure FlashArray, FlashBlade.
• Configure and deploy SAN infrastructure, including Cisco and Brocade Fibre Channel switching.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs and operating procedures.
• Serve as a technical point of contact during delivery engagements and escalation events.
• Collaborate with project teams to align scope, timelines, and outcomes.
• Support post-implementation knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
