Job summary

AHEAD is seeking an Associate Technical Consultant to join the Storage Delivery Practice and support enterprise data center infrastructure deployments. This customer-facing role translates business and technical requirements into practical solutions from planning through implementation and knowledge transfer.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accountable, and collaborates with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure delivery in consulting or complex environments.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues across systems, hosts, and switches.
• Strong written and verbal technical documentation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in client-facing delivery environments.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with automation concepts and tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Install data center hardware (racking, stacking, cabling) to meet performance and availability goals.
• Apply basic configurations to physical infrastructure (PowerMax, PowerFlex, PowerEdge, Cisco, Pure).
• Configure and deploy SAN infrastructure (Cisco, Brocade Fibre Channel).
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Serve as a technical POC during delivery engagements, status meetings, cutovers, and escalations.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and customer stakeholders to align scope and timelines.
• Support post-implementation knowledge transfer and continuous improvement recommendations.
• Ensure delivery quality and customer satisfaction while learning from senior team members.
• Stay current on storage, cloud, and infrastructure trends and propose improvements.
