Job summary

Burlington Community School District, Grimes Elementary School, Burlington, IA, seeks a Special Education Level II Associate (1:1) for a full-time role. The position is 7 hours per day, 176 days per year, with pay of $15.39 per hour or $15.79 with an AA degree or higher.

You will accompany a student to activities, help keep them on task, assist with personal hygiene, supervise in cafeteria, classroom, and playground, and perform related duties.

Qualifications

• Level II Special Education Associate (1:1) position.
• 7 hours per day, 176 days per year.
• Must be able to lift and assist with personal hygiene; mobility required.
• Must supervise students in cafeteria, classrooms, playground, and during patrol duties.
• Basic understanding of math, science, and reading/writing; ability to check student work.
• MANDT Training and Behavior Management preferred.

Responsibilities

Must have basic understanding of math, science, and reading and writing skills, with ability to check students work. Capability to work with students in small groups (or individually, one-on-one). Ability to follow both written and oral directions. MANDT Training and Behavior Management preferred. Mobility and ability to lift required. Other duties as assigned.
