Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking an Associate Program Manager to lead a program with responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical performance. You will manage budgets, schedules, and execution within contractual requirements, applying EVMS, CAM, BOE, FAR, and CAS training to ensure success.

You will work with cross-functional teams and communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, while guiding smaller programs or IPTs to deliver on objectives.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typical 2+ years of related experience.
• PM certifications: PMP or in progress.
• Intermediate understanding of project and program management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Basic knowledge of risk management techniques.
• Understanding of budgeting and financial tracking.
• Basic understanding of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Basic understanding of resource allocation and management concepts.
• Effective communication with stakeholders and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple small workstreams or projects within a program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive program success.
• Communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Foster relationships with external customers and stakeholders.
• Lead smaller programs or portions of larger programs.
