Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co in Joplin, Missouri, is seeking an Associate Sonographer to operate imaging equipment, primarily ultrasound, assisting in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires technical expertise, excellent communication, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate should be a graduate from a Sonography school or be a registered sonographer. No previous experience is necessary, but an ARDMS or ARRT registry is required within 6 months of eligibility. Qualifications

Job description

The Associate Sonographer operates imaging equipment and software, mostly ultrasound equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The Associate Sonographer position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.

Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR registered sonographer.

License: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

Experience: None required

Certifications/Registrations: Obtained ARDMS or ARRT or CCI registry OR Registry eligible (Achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire

In the state of Arkansas, ARDMS‑RVT OR CCI‑RVS OR ARRT‑VS may be required within 12 months of hire and/or transfer depending on scope of role.
