Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment and software, primarily ultrasound equipment, for diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain high imaging standards.
• Serve as a leader when direct leadership is unavailable.
• Act as an expert resource and assist in training staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Position Details

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Graduate of a school of sonography and completed required clinical hours.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
  • Certifications/Registries: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 3 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area OR 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area and 5 years of applicable experience; Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • In Arkansas, ARDMS certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification as a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) OR ARRT certification in Vascular Sonography (VS) is required.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage schedules, and coordinate daily operations.
  • Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
  • Thorough understanding of protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed.
  • Proficiency producing diagnostic images and recognizing technical abnormalities.
  • Knowledge of advanced procedures and/or invasive procedures, if applicable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance protocols and accreditation standards.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
