Job summary

Jobtailor in Columbus, Ohio is seeking ambitious software engineering interns who will join modern engineering teams to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications using Java, .NET, React, and Angular. You will participate in the full SDLC from ideation through production support.

You will apply engineering best practices, including clean code, test automation, and CI/CD, collaborate with product design and data partners, and build cloud-based capabilities on AWS with GCP for AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field.
• Graduating May 2027 with GPA ≥ 3.0.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Foundational programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript.
• Exposure to web development (HTML/CSS, JS frameworks).
• Understanding of software development principles and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity or experience with AI concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Exposure to APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
• AI/ML coursework or applied projects.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

• Contribute to modern engineering teams
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications using technologies such as Java, .NET, React, and Angular
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from ideation through production support
• Apply engineering best practices, including clean code, test automation, and CI/CD
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and data partners
• Build cloud and platform capabilities
• Develop and deploy applications using cloud-native architectures (AWS, with GCP for AI capabilities)
• Work with APIs, microservices, and containerized solutions
• Support cloud modernization and platform engineering initiatives
• Apply AI and data-driven engineering
• Leverage foundational AI/ML concepts within software solutions
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (including Google Vertex) to enhance productivity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (expected graduation: May 2027) in: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 at time of graduation
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
• Foundational programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Exposure to web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks)
• Understanding of software development principles and Agile methodologies
• Familiarity or experience with AI concepts
• Experience and Exposure to Some or All of the Following
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; GCP or Azure helpful)
• Exposure to APIs, microservices, or distributed systems
• AI/ML coursework, certifications, or applied projects
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
