Job summary

Metron is seeking talented programmers to contribute to complex simulation and optimization software. You will build backend infrastructure and frontend web applications using Java, TypeScript, Python or C++, with an emphasis on clean design, performance, and maintainability.

The role requires strong CS/math/physics background, full-stack capabilities, and US citizenship for a security clearance process. Relocation to Reston, VA may be needed as projects span research and government-focused

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Math, or related field.
Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, Python or C++ programming.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with full-stack web application development in any frameworks/languages.
Ability to communicate design concepts and performance metrics clearly.
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED; security investigation and eligibility for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

Develop backend infrastructure and frontend web applications for simulation and optimization software.
Work on software that incorporates probabilistic models of physical systems.
Collaborate in teams from 2 to 20 people; contribute across the problem-solving lifecycle.
Design, prototype, implement, demonstrate and deploy software in a research/industrial setting.
