Job summary

Asure Software in Addison, TX is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software supporting our HCM platform. You will gain hands-on experience across front-end, back-end, and full-stack work with cloud-based technologies, APIs, databases, and modern tools.

You will collaborate with engineers and product managers to deliver reliable software, participate in code reviews, and contribute to AI-assisted tooling to improve productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and modern software development practices.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Interest in AI/ML and willingness to use AI-enabled tools daily.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to develop software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications, services, and APIs.
• Contribute to front-end, back-end, or full-stack development projects.
• Participate in code reviews and improve code quality through feedback.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects.
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to manage data.
• Support cloud-based deployment of applications.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
• Engage in Agile processes including sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Explore AI and machine learning capabilities under guidance of senior engineers.
