Job summary

Asure Software in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join a team building, testing, and maintaining software that powers our HCM platform. You will explore front-end, back-end, and full-stack work, gaining hands-on experience with cloud-based services, APIs, databases, and modern development tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Fundamentals: OOP, data structures, algorithms, software design.
• Experience with at least one modern language: C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python.
• Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and modern Dev practices.
• Cloud platforms knowledge: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Basic relational/NoSQL DB concepts.
• Git or other VCS experienced.
• Interest in AI/ML and willingness to use AI-enabled tools.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to develop software.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications, services, and APIs.
• Contribute to front-end, back-end, or full-stack development on projects.
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback.
• Troubleshoot and debug software defects.
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Support cloud deployment and environments.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in Agile sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives.
• Leverage AI-powered dev tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Explore AI/ML opportunities under guidance of senior engineers.
