Job summary

Asure Software in Austin, TX is seeking an Associate AI Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain AI-powered software that supports Asure's HCM platform. You will primarily write Python and build features that integrate large language models (LLMs) and other AI services into real applications running in our AWS cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Proficiency in Python and comfort with other modern languages; familiarity with AI concepts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, PMs and stakeholders to build AI-powered features.
• Write clean, tested Python code for apps, services, and APIs leveraging AI.
• Integrate LLMs and AI services within the AWS environment.
• Assist design, experimentation, evaluation, and validation of LLM-based features.
• Contribute to data pipelines and retrieval components supporting AI features.
• Participate in code reviews and improve software quality and personal skills.
• Troubleshoot, debug, monitor, and resolve defects in AI-enabled apps.
• Work with relational, NoSQL, and vector data stores to support AI solutions.
• Support deployment and operation of AI apps in cloud environments.
• Engage in Agile practices and continually learn across Python, AI/LLMs, and cloud tech.
