Job summary

Orion180 in Irving, Texas is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to fortify our data platform and analytics capabilities.

You will design, build, and optimize data pipelines, data models, and lakehouse architectures that power risk, growth, and client-facing products. You’ll lead data integrations across Azure ecosystem (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks), implement governance, security, and real-time analytics with event hubs and stream analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math.
• 6+ years in data engineering with 3+ years on Azure ecosystem.
• Mastery of T-SQL and relational database concepts.
• Proficiency in Python or PySpark.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Knowledge of data governance and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data integrations and models for analytics.
• Lead development of data pipelines and orchestration in Azure.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with data scientists and business leaders.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DataOps practices.
