Job summary

Litera, a leading provider of cloud-based legal tech, is hiring in Denver for a software engineer role with 0–2 years of experience. The position supports AI-first development, collaborating with Product, UX, and Quality Engineering teams to deliver scalable features in Litera's SaaS portfolio.

The hybrid setup requires in-office presence at least 3 days per week. Base salary ranges from $105,000 to $125,000 USD, with eligibility for a company bonus plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of software engineering experience (internships or projects).
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java).
• Foundational software development principles, OO design, and Git basics.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Eng or equivalent.
• Nice to have exposure to .NET/C#, REST, AWS/Azure, and AI tooling.

What You'll Bring

Must-Haves:

• 0-2 years of software engineering experience, including internships, academic projects, or professional experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Foundational understanding of software development principles, object-oriented design, and version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, a growth mindset, and enthusiasm for learning new technologies in an AI-first engineering environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Haves:

• Exposure to full-stack web development using .NET/C#, REST APIs, or similar modern application frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar coding assistants.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, legal technology, data analytics, AI/ML applications, or experience in fast-paced environments through projects, open-source work, or hackathons.

Pay Transparency for Colorado Applicants

The base salary range for this role is $105,000 to $125,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan. In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and incentive and recognition programs. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
