Joseph’s Classic Market Seafood Associate role in New York focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge in a fast-paced retail setting. You’ll help customers with recommendations, keep displays fresh and well-presented, and ensure accurate labeling and pricing of self-service items.

You will gain hands-on experience in seafood handling and preparation, learn shelf rotation, and contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for shoppers every day.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in seafood, grocery, or food service is strongly preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Strong attention to detail and visual presentation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized suggestions.
• Maintain product freshness through regular rotation and quality checks.
• Restock and rotate displays to ensure visual appeal and freshness.
• Package, label, and price self-service items accurately.
• Cut and prepare seafood products according to company standards.
• Clean and maintain scales, cutting areas, and prep stations.
• Operate department equipment including knives, steamers, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned.

Physical & Work Environment

A Seafood Associate works primarily in the Seafood department. This role involves walking and standing for extended periods, lifting and moving products weighing up to 80 pounds, and working in a fast-paced retail environment. Frequent interaction with customers and fellow team members is an essential part of the role.
