Pearson is seeking scorers for Oklahoma exams remotely, serving the California region from our Sacramento office. The role involves evaluating teacher candidates' responses, applying scoring rubrics, and maintaining confidentiality while meeting quality standards.

Active or recently retired educators meeting credential or degree criteria are encouraged to apply. Work occurs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm PST, with training provided and sessions scheduled five times per year.

Qualificações

• Hold a teaching credential corresponding to the content field.
• Be teaching or have taught within the last three years at the appropriate grade level.
• Or hold a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree and be a graduate student currently teaching courses in the content field.

Qualifications Both active and recently retired educators may be eligible to score, provided they meet one of the following qualification goals.

A scorer must:

• Hold a teaching credential corresponding to the content field, AND
• Be teaching or have taught within the last three years at the appropriate grade level.
• Or serve or have served as a faculty member teaching courses taken by students enrolled in a teacher preparation program or district internship program.
• Or hold a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree AND be a graduate student currently teaching courses in the content field

Overall Responsibilities

• Evaluates responses of teacher candidates.
• Successfully internalizes training and scoring guide.
• Participate in discussions.
• Must be able to put aside personal biases and apply scoring guide according to rubric requirements.
• Meets quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program.
• Engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities.

Applicants should also…

• Be a resident of Oklahoma or California with eligibility to work in the United States.
• Have basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse).
• Have the ability to meet via online meetings using a personal computer with web camera, microphone, and speakers.
• Have the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Have the ability to maintain a confidential work environment.
