Job summary

Pearson is seeking ES Oklahoma Scoring Assistants to score Oklahoma exams remotely for our Sacramento, California office. The role supports teacher licensure and assessment programs with training and daily scoring during Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:00pm PST.

Sessions last 1 day and occur 5 times a year, with ongoing training included. Applicants must be resident of Oklahoma or California, hold a teaching credential or have recent teaching experience, and either teach in the field or be enrolled as a

Responsibilities

• Participates in discussions and consensus scoring with other scorers.
• Applies rubric requirements without bias.
• Meets quality and productivity requirements for the scoring program.
• Engages with other scorers in consensus scoring activities.

We are looking for scoring assistants for:

Driver Safety

Qualifications Both active and recently retired educators may be eligible to score, provided they meet one of the following qualification goals.

A scorer must:

• Hold a teaching credential corresponding to the content field, AND
• Be teaching or have taught within the last three years at the appropriate grade level.
• Or serve or have served as a faculty member teaching courses taken by students enrolled in a teacher preparation program or district internship program.
• Or hold a bachelor's and/or master's degree AND be a graduate student currently teaching courses in the content field

• Engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities.

Applicants should also…

• Be a resident of Oklahoma or California with eligibility to work in the United States.
• Have basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse).
• Have the ability to meet via online meetings using a personal computer with web camera, microphone, and speakers.
• Have the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Have the ability to maintain a confidential work environment.
