Job summary

Quotient Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Scientist with experience in molecular biology, immunology and early drug discovery to contribute to translational validation of discovery platform targets in mechanistic models.

The ideal candidate will develop complex immune assays using primary human cells and tissues to understand disease mechanisms and drug action, and work in a dynamic, cross-functional team. Experience with data analysis and robust record keeping is essential.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related discipline; 3+ years for MS or 5+ years for BS
  • In-depth understanding of cellular and molecular biology techniques including mammalian cell culture, transfection, CRISPR, western blots, qPCR, immunofluorescence and flow cytometry
  • Experience with cell-based compound screening assays
  • Familiarity with GLP and Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) in industrial setting
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills; excellent record keeping
  • Proactive, team-oriented, execution-focused with attention to detail
  • Experience with RNA-seq, cloning and image analysis
  • Prior experience with lentiviral transductions or AAV transfection/transduction

Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize and implement in vitro experiments to validate target mechanisms and translational relevance to human disease
  • Execute biochemical and cell-based assays using recombinant proteins, mammalian cell lines and primary cells
  • Interpret data to drive go/no go decisions
  • Maintain precise experimental records and documentation
  • Contribute to research articles, reports and presentations
  • Follow lab safety procedures and participate in team meetings
