Job summary

Pioneering Medicines, Flagship Pioneering’s in-house drug development unit, seeks an innovative Scientist/Senior Scientist to join Translational Sciences in Cambridge, MA. You will support translational research and immunological activities aimed at bridging early research and clinical development.

This role will be directly accountable on data delivery to support the deep characterization of novel candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in biology, immunology, pharmacology with 5+ years in lab work.
• PhD holders with 2+ years in industry welcome for seniority.
• Experience with ex-vivo assays in rodent, NHP and human tissues/plasma/whole blood.
• In vitro T cell differentiation (Treg, Th17) experience required.
• Flow cytometry for phenotyping whole blood and T cells essential.
• Sterile cell culture techniques for primary cells and lines required.
• Hands-on primary cell isolation and downstream analysis (ELISA, Western blot, qPCR, histology).

Responsibilities

• Deliver datasets to inform translational direction of drug discovery programs.
• Contribute to immunology/translational research goals and strategies.
• Collaborate to build capabilities for immunology/translational needs.
• Communicate plans and data to colleagues with diverse background.
• Contribute to prioritized activities within the drug discovery group.
• Demonstrate curiosity, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently or in a team.
