Forge Biologics in Columbus, Ohio seeks an Associate Scientist II, Analytical Development to advance protein-based assays for AAV gene therapy products. You will lead complex assays, contribute to method development, and collaborate across functions to ensure quality and consistency of our gene therapy products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, biochemistry, or molecular biology.
• Proficiency in advanced laboratory techniques related to protein-based assays.
• Experience with assay development and optimization.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions.
• Strong data analysis skills and the ability to generate actionable insights from experiments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of complex protein-based assays independently and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Develop and optimize protein-based assays, including assay design, protocol development, and validation.
• Collaborate with scientists to analyze and interpret experimental data.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Contribute to assay transfer activities between teams or sites.
• Participate in project planning and ensure timely delivery of results.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory documents and support regulatory submissions.
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate best practices into assay development.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure the reliability and robustness of assays.
• Actively engage in continuous improvement efforts for processes and methodologies.
